About Park West Court Apartments

Since it's Corp inception in March 1979, Park West Court Apartments has earned a reputation for meeting the unique challenge of providing services to adults whose support needs are associated with developmental disabilities and the aging process. Park West serves as an alternative to nursing home placement, but at the same time, is equipped to meet the specialized health care needs of older adults by providing specialized 24-hour nursing care, as well as providing a family atmosphere which emphasizes the individual's maximum potential development. Completion of facility and residents moved in on June 3rd, 1983.

Our goal

Our goal at Park West Court Apartments is to provide residents with appropriate skills to live semi-independently in the community when possible. Individuals with chromic illness, as well as physical and mental disability, are easily maintained in this least restrictive environment.

Residents participate as actively as possible in community events, attending several area churches, and participating in a senior citizens recreational center. Residents are involved in activities such as grocery shopping, banking, eating in restaurants and going to shopping malls, theaters and other community events.

Licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation, and reimbursed by Ohio Department of Human Services under the Medicaid Program, Park West Court Apartments is a private, non-profit facility.

Reimbursement for the residents' care is from the Ohio Department of Public Welfare under the Medicaid Program. The facility is certified by the Ohio Department of Health as Intermediate Care Facility / Mental Retardation.

NOTE: Under the Medicaid there are several levels of care in nursing home programs - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)Intermediate Care Facility General (ICF), Intermediate Care Facility / Mental Retardation (ICF/MR). As such Park West has to comply with federal, state and local regulations that govern the Medicaid Program.
